In USDA Grade Standards, but Christmas Tree grades are not regulated in Canada. The term “premium” has become a marketing gimmick slapped on every tree to trick Canadian consumers!
When looking for a premium quality tree it should be so densely needled you cannot see through it. It will have a slightly tapered symmetrical silhouette with branching that looks good all around. It will be a rich green colour with a noticeably fragrant scent, and fresh pliable needles and branches.
At The Real Tree, we follow the USDA Grade Standards or higher. If the tree doesn’t meet REAL Premium standards, then we don’t sell it as “premium”.
